Meeting Report
The 1973 Rotary Group Study Exchange Team to the UK told their story to the Rotarians and friends of the Rotary Club of Murray Bridge last night, also attended by the District Governor David Jones and his wife Lyn. This group of five have met every year since and told of their lasting friendships and how it has affected their lives since. A life changing experience which the audience enjoyed hearing about. The skills they each developed whilst away and applied since had affected each of them in a positive way. They were away for 8 weeks stopping for a short time in Athens on the way for a couple of days. The local in the group was David Price Agricultural and Farm Management Consultant from our Murray Bridge Club, with Peter Rumbelow from Victor Harbour a Banker and ex Norwood Footballer, John Irwin a partner in a Mildura legal practice, Dr Richard Laycock Medical Practicianer at Christies Beach, and Graig Smedley Field Technical Manager for the Prudential Assurance Company. GSE was an educational activity of the Rotary Foundation, offering a unique person to person opportunity for the promotion of better understanding and ideas exchange. It was a reciprical exchange arrangement. They went to Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex Cambrideshire and parts of Hertfordshire. They were aged between 25 and 35 years at the time.

Dear All at Rotary Club of Murray Bridge,
We wanted to share this photo from Anania's recent excursion to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Our Form 1 students visited Kilimanjaro International Airport, which is in the Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania, to learn practically what they learnt theoretically in class. This excursion was planned to help students learn among much other weather, Aviation languages and transport issues as per curriculum in our school.
Field trips are an essential part of students' learning, encouraging a curious mind and a better understanding and appreciation for their natural environment. Thanks to you and your ongoing Scholarship of Anania, that trips like this are made possible for St Jude's students.
We thought you would like to share this occasion, so we have attached a photo of Anania and his friends.
It has been my pleasure to email you on behalf of Anania. We hope you enjoy the photo of Anania excursion.
