Yesterday, Foodbank SA officially celebrated the opening of the Murraylands Food Hub.
The celebration saw our CEO Greg Pattinson, Leanne Malek and Bronwyn Tyler cut the ribbon, marking the long-term support and security Foodbank will provide to the Murraylands region.
In the last 12 months alone Foodbank have distributed the equivalent of 146,000 meals to those living in the Murraylands region. The Foodbank Food Hub Murraylands has been part of our long-term commitment to ending food insecurity with an additional 140,000 meals needed to meet the current levels of demand.
During this time we will work with local agencies to provide a dignified shopping experience to those requiring food relief in the region.
We would like to thank our supporters of this project,
, Corporate and local businesses, Foodbank supporters, staff and volunteers for contributing to this exciting new stage in Foodbank’s strategic direction. We want to particularly thank the service clubs in the region,
This afternoon, the Rotary Club of Mobilong celebrated 40 years of Charter. Many past members and partners along with current ones attended an afternoon tea at the Murray Bridge Uniting Church, where memorabilia was on display, such as old Bulletins, photo's of significant events over the years, exchange students from around the world and awards that have been presented over the years. Past member Graham Hallandal and current member Bob England read out some tributes from exchange students that we have hosted over the years.
President Bronwyn Heard opened the afternoon and later cut the cake with Charter Members who were present, Graham Hallandal, Ken Zadow & Perrin Kuchel.
A photo was taken of the past presidents who were in attendance today.
Today's events will be put in the archives as talk of our 50th anniversary was mentioned today.

It will be held on the weekend of 16-18 April 2021 at Westminster School, Marion. The committee are working very hard behind the scenes to ensure this is a fantastic conference.
