Meeting Report 3373
Rotarian Robin LeGallez our skilled techo brilliantly set up and produced our first face to face hybrid Rotary meeting on Tuesday at the Murray Bridge Golf Club. This allowed members to also participate virtually if they were not able to attend and it went off without a hitch, thanks Robin. We followed the Golf Club's Covid Plan and President Simon with project leaders led us through a review of some of the projects current through this Covid period. Projects covered included the Bushfire and Drought assistance, Shawls of Love, Bread Tags with Murray Bridge High School Interact, Adelaide Uni Rotoract, Foodbank, Facebook/webpage, Fundraising BBQ's at Bunnings, Members Training, and our wide range of guest speakers virtually including some interstate and international. It was great to get back together again, sharing a meal, planning projects and the way forward. We look forward to our further interaction with the community locally and globally.
Bunnings Fund Raiser
A great day was had by all who volunteered to cook and sell sausages at Bunnings on Sunday 13th September.
Not sure on the exact number sold but it was well into the 200's.
There was 2 shifts (morning and afternoon) of 5 volunteers each shift.
Thank you to all that helped.
Thank You email from Paris Holland
Hello Rotary,
I'm writing to let you know I have succeeded at achieving my goal of joining the Royal Australian Navy. My enlistment date is the 21st September.
I would like to say thank you to the Rotary Club and Rotarians who have supported me in my journey through many experiences offered to me. These include Claprum camp, ConocoPhillips Science camp, Interact, Going Bush, Rypen, Ryla and One and All.
The One and All was a once in a life time experience and I was able to continue as a volunteer to give back to others so they could have the same experience.
I'm so grateful for all the above opportunities and I know they have positively influenced and assisted me in achieving my goal of joining the Defence Force in the Navy.
If all goes well, when I am given leave and able to come home, I'd be happy to share my experience in the first few months in the Navy.
Kind Regards
Paris Holland

AUSSIE BREAD TAGS FOR WHEELCHAIRS
We have it from a reliable source that we currently collect 5% of bread tags in Australia, so for every bread tag we collect, there are twenty out there waiting for us - now that's a challenge! And we now have 397 collection points, so there is probably one near you, ..... or you could host one and help us get to 400! So get your family, school, child care centre, retirement village, church, community centre, bakery, cafe, or fast food joint collecting, and find a collection point on our map, or post your tags to us. It's all on our website : https://ozbreadtagsforwheelchairs.org.au/
