Meeting Report
Captain Rod Lovell born in Victor Harbour and lived in Middleton south of Adelaide joined the RAAF as an instument fitter and became a pilot flying DC3's, DC9, Lear Jets, Orions and Mirages. In 1994 he flew a DC3 from Sydney airport, had an engine failure shortly after takeoff and had to control ditch into the harbour. He told the Rotary Club of Murray Bridge his story at Tuesday night's dinner meeting. All the 25 lives on board were saved. His book on the event Hero to Zero was available for purchase.

Murray Bridge Skate Park Competition
The Rotary Club of Murray Bridge cooked hamburgers for the participants of the Skate Park Competition Event at Sturt Reserve. The weather was on the cool side but the young people enjoyed the event. The Event was free including the food organised by The Station with support from the Rural City of Murray Bridge and the Skate League. Could not help noticing how polite the participants were. It was about the 12th time the event was held in Murray Bridge so some warm relationships have developed between the groups participating. It was a Covid safe event following the guidelines.
